Senior Buyer

Full Time Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates, aligns and implements commodity strategies. Responsible for purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. Qualifies suppliers, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Drives supply chain solutions impacting quality, cost, lead time and on time delivery.

  • Quoting new and existing OEM products and custom electrical and metal fabrication parts.
  • Fulfillment of urgent material needs for production, spares, customer site-downs and engineering.
  • Disciplined execution of MRP order actions.
  • Disciplined maintenance of purchased part MRP attributes (lead time, cost, etc.).
  • Coordination with Planners, Engineering, Production and other Buyers to standardize operating procedures.
  • Monitor risk buy consumption, safety stock and provide feedback and recommendations to decision makers.
  • Data driven decision maker to mitigate risk and promote continual improvement.
  • Create standard operating procedures.
  • Work with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Order reschedules/expediting, as needed.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Able to read and understand fabrication and component drawings.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • APICS certification is a plus
  • 5-10 years’ experience in purchasing Electronic Components, Custom Metal Fabricated Parts., PCBAs, Cables, Quartz, Ceramic, E/M Assemblies, Vacuum Components.
  • Proven supervisory skills. Excellent communication skills. Proactive problem solver.
  • Skilled in negotiating price and delivery is a must.
  • Established working relationships with international and domestic suppliers is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Oracle Purchasing module is highly valued.
  • Experience monitoring/arranging VMI and pipeline programs.
  • Working knowledge of ISO-9001 and ISO-14001. Risk based approach. PDCA.

Mechanical Engineer

Temporary Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Design major components of semiconductor equipment including custom automation, robotics and environmental control systems for new products. Responsibilities will include concept development, cost estimation, assembly drawings/procedures and other related information.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be capable of defining overall systems layouts and specifications
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (Pro-E a plus)
  • Experience working with manufacturing engineers to address issues such as design for manufacturability and cost effectiveness
  • Familiarity with SEMI S2 and S8

Network Systems Administrator

Full Time Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Network Systems Administrator provides day-to-day network operations support, software and hardware installation, problem resolution and proactive network monitoring. This role will be responsible for operations of all network hardware, software, peripherals and infrastructure required to support optimized network communications. This is the sole information systems position in the company. Oracle support, DBA and various other services are contracted through third party providers. This position will help manage these external resources as well as provide helpdesk type support to 80+ users worldwide with technical issues or questions.

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, support, and maintain all Microsoft server systems.
  • Manage the network infrastructure, maintaining and supporting the network consisting of LAN, WAN, Wireless, VoIP, Firewalls, Security, VPN, Cabling, Data Centers, and Cisco.
  • Provide 7x24x365 on-call support for mission-critical server systems.
  • Support end users in a helpdesk role.
  • Identify opportunities for improving system quality, service availability, and for suggesting improvements to processes and tools.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • BS degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of hands on experience supporting enterprise level networks in a 24x7x365 production environment supporting corporate and data center systems.
  • CCNA Certification desirable.
  • Experience patching Windows servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies to include ESXi and vCenter.
  • Experience in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment. Cisco certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with backup and data recovery software such as Veritas Backup Exec.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of internetworking protocols and practices such as LDAP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Windows Systems Administration skills supporting Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory (2008, 2012+) Microsoft MCSA, MCSE certifications desirable.
  • Basic familiarity with PowerShell scripting practices desirable
  • Position may require installation and removal of rack mount equipment, and at times may require lifting

Field Service Engineer- North America

Full Time Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

SPT Microtechnologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and upgrade our oxidation and LPCVD vertical furnaces in the semiconductor, power management, MEMS, LED and advanced packaging fabrication facilities. As an SPT Field Service Engineer you will work side-by-side with our customer at their IC manufacturing facility. You will also work at the SPT manufacturing facility helping with R&D and production when not at customer site. During a routine work day, you may be working on systems that incorporate:

  • Robotics
  • Hydraulics
  • Thermal Systems
  • Advanced Control Software
  • Precision Optics
  • Low Pressure Systems
  • Gas and Chemical Delivery Systems
  • Pneumatic Controls

All of this within an ultra-clean environment.

Job duties include:

  • Installation and integration
  • Utilize advanced tools (DVM’s, Advanced Software Diagnostic’s, He Leak Checker, Laser Particle Checker etc.) to ensure that maintenance and calibration are perfect
  • Review equipment engineering specs and provide feedback to the factory for improvements
  • Build and maintain customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and the sharing of collective knowledge.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 3 or more years of electro-mechanical experience or equivalent
  • Requires current driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to travel, including internationally
  • Flexibility to work on shifts/overtime/stand-by/on-call/holidays when required
  • Must relocate to San Jose, California

Manufacturing Assembly Technician

Temporary Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Builds and re-builds semiconductor deposition equipment. Assembles, disassembles, and mounts small to medium size high purity vacuum components, vacuum assemblies, cable harnesses, large sheet metal panels, electronic assemblies and electro-mechanical assemblies. Reads and interprets prints and schematics. Participates in team problem solving sessions and various types of meetings. Works with other Manufacturing Groups, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality functions.

Must be able to stand 4-8 hours while performing daily duties. Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds.Works with small hand tools. Climbs ladders up to 25 feet. Works in small equipment spaces. Is required to complete various types of documentation. Performs data entry related to assigned projects.

Systems Test Technician

Temporary Position - San Jose, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate must be able to perform analysis of used equipment and determine what is required to refurbish the equipment to “like new condition”.
Proven experience testing and trouble-shooting automated wafer handling, gas panels, heaters, electronic assemblies, power boxes, controllers and high purity vacuum components. The candidate will be expected to work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, schematics, written and verbal instructions utilizing a variety of tools, test equipment, problem solving techniques and communication skills. The candidate must be a team player and work with minimal supervision.
The candidate will provide guidance to other test technicians and manufacturing technicians. Electromechanical ability is highly desirable. The candidate must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities and maintain an organized work place. Timely completion of assignments is a must.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • AS degree or equivalent
  • The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years proven experience testing and trouble-shooting semiconductor vertical deposition furnaces
