Document Control/Drafting Specialist

Full Time Position - San Jose, CA

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: working with Oracle Cloud Product Life Cycle Management to release and modify engineering changes. Create soft and hard copy product CDs for 200mm/300mm (Vertical Thermal ATM/LP) CVD systems and sub-systems. Interface with development engineering, field service engineering, information technology, finance/accounting, product support, manufacturing, materials, quality and manufacturing engineering. Administration of engineering changes. Uploading specifications into Oracle Cloud PD/PIM, controlling document revisions, and making required edits to BOM’s, drawings and procedures with proper approvals. Making drafting changes using Solid Works and AutoCAD. Creating and maintaining document control standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Experience Profile:

The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years’ experience in document control in a semiconductor or other capital equipment manufacturing company. Familiarity with automated wafer handling, gas panels, heaters, electronic assemblies, electrical components, power boxes, controllers, sheet metal, machining, high purity vacuum components and systems is a plus.

You should be an expert with engineering change control, ECO creation and utilizing Oracle Cloud PD/PIM or equivalent product life cycle system.

You must be a team player and work with minimal supervision. You must be able to adjust to changing priorities and maintaining an organized work environment.

Ability to create assembly drawings, schematics, electrical diagrams, cable diagrams, weld points and mechanical drawings (2D and 3D). The candidate must have a proven track record of meeting delivery requirements. The candidate must also have demonstrated an ability to meet KPIs and continuous improvement objectives.

Ability to work within an environment that includes quality management (QMS) and environmental management (EMS) systems.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud PD/PIM – Product Life Cycle Management.
  • Solid Works, AutoCAD, PDM experience is a plus, MS Office.
  • Proven success in Engineering Change Control.
  • Sound understanding of ISO-9001, IS0-14001 and successful implementation of both standards.

Education Required:

  • AS or BS degree preferred in engineering or manufacturing or equivalent certifications.
